The Name Maude C. Comes from My grandmother's middle name and last name initial. It has nothing to do with my name. It was a way to remember her by, since she passed away when I was very young. And Since I inherited her love of hand embroidery, wearing neutrals & collecting nail polish, it only seemed right to dedicate my business to her. Though I didn't know her for very long, I obtained the upmost respect for her.

I started as an entrepreneur by making bottle cap necklaces and selling them at my youth group every Wednesday night for $5ea. I then decided I wanted to learn to sew, so after I achieved that, I began making appliqued t-shirts and selling them.
Though I am still appliqueing, I have different techniques I am using. The baby onesies are a huge hit. But now I have found myself making leather, metal, precious stone jewelry for the past few years now, and I love it!

Besides running Maude C., My time consists of wardrobe styling & blogging about fashion, beauty & lifestyle. I have also been teaching sewing & styling for ETA: Education for the Textile Arts.

And if you are wondering where the company comes into play of Maude C. & Company, I wanted my family to have an outlet & be able to sell their items beside mine. So that's how Maude C & company started. Before, my shop was named Maude C. Clothing. rather boring, huh?
